Are you all getting the feeling that we’re talking to ourselves?

That’s how I’ve been feeling lately when it comes to my passion to get more women leaders in Corporate America, and more women at all levels in technology. It’s not a new crusade by any means, and maybe that’s why it seems like no one is listening to me, to us.

What will get people opening their ears?

As a columnist, journalist and a realist, I know sex sells. So, given that this is the Valentine’s issue maybe I should couch the women empowerment message in sexual terms. That may indeed get people tweeting about this CCIE Flyer February issue.

@careerdiva -- time to open up doors for women to be leaders in biz, tech, sex/if you don’t, the only fun in the bedroom you’ll be having is via text #sex

OK, I’m only kidding, but I bet it got you to pay closer attention to this introduction.

We all love our wives, daughters and moms. Why not show them all how much this year by forgetting about the heart-shaped box of chocolates and doing something to help empower women everywhere.

Encourage young girls to consider science, technology and engineering. Help a woman you know by mentoring her, or helping her get a foot in the door at a company or a corner office. And speak up if you think women are getting shafted where you work.

A great move by Eman is dedicating this whole issue to Women IT Professionals.

Bravo my friend!

(But I’m thinking your lovely wife may still want some chocolates. ;-))
