Eman and Voice Boot Camp at GITEX

I am very pleased to be joining the professionals from Voice Boot Camp and Faisal Khan the world renowned CCIE, voice instructor and owner of Voice Boot Camp in Dubai this October. GITEX is probably the world’s largest IT Expo and the good people at Voice Boot Camp have asked me to attend as their special guest.
Ever since I started out in IT back in the 1970s I have been a fan of IT conferences and expos. But as time went by I had less and less time I could affords to spend at them. While I was at BANI in the 1990s was one of my more memorable ones. I took half dozen CCIEs who worked for me to an IT expo in New York as a bit of a reward and break from work. We headed to the convention hall and walked in off the street having a great time. This was the first time I saw how techies and geeks treated CCIEs with awe. My guys were wearing their CCIE Bomber Jackets and they quickly became the center of attention anywhere we stopped at the show. Now years later I am going to the largest IT convention in the world, GITEX Technology Week! This will also be my first trip back to Dubai as well since 2008 about 8 months ago.
I am excited about this trip because I have many friends in the Middle East I will be looking for during the event. October 16 – 22 I will be at booth A2-40 Hall 2 in the Canadian Pavilion where I will be taking pictures for the CCIE Flyer with any CCIE and aspiring CCIE that drops by.
I will be giving presentations on the CCIE population, Industry Hiring Trends, Unique aspects in the various countries for CCIEs on the Market, and Career Q&A as always.
Many times I have repeated to any career minded network engineers that Unified Communications is the hottest market for hiring right now. I have also been a fan of Faisal Khan’s Voice Boot Camps ever since attending one in Toronto this past year. A natural next step is to help spread the word about Voice Boot Camp.
