I have had a busy schedule of late, with the League of Superhumans (honest go to my blog and take the Cisco Survey www.ccieagent.com), skiing, traveling abroad, speaking with many channel partners and candidates, preparing for the University of Delaware and Cisco launch of IT Rocks and Cisco Network Academy here in Wilmington, writing my blog, reading the blogs, preparing for the CCIE Flyer, managing my team of recruiters, working with M to schedule my many activities and also being a part of my own family. So when Dan (my big brother) asked how we could get the issues released closer to the beginning of each month instead of the middle or end of it I was prepared to start moving up the date each month until we were closer to the 1st. But, as old people will, I babbled while showering ideas that should have remained unspoken and just churned in the grey matter and I came to a conclusion (also unusual given my advanced age). This is the February issue of the CCIE Flyer. Hell I own the damn thing, so I can legalize marijuana if I want to right? So for the February issue of the CCIE Flyer I am happy to inform you that the year for me and Dan and M starts with the February issue!
Since you missed the January issue of the CCIE Flyer let me tell you what you missed. I finally had my interview with the CEO of Cisco Systems John Chambers where he complimented me on the CCIE Flyer and my creative use of foul language in a public forum, I had a swim suit photo shoot with Beyonce (affectionately known by my pet name Bouncy), I got to jam with Eric Clapton (he could hardly keep up) and I scaled the Sears Tower in Pittsburgh (took pictures like Peter Parker). It is hard to follow up on the January issue…but here in the February issue we have some pretty good stuff. Back again is Terry Slattery CCIE #2 with some history for all you green horns; somebody left the screen door open and Keith Tokash CCIE #21236 snuck in a piece on operating systems and how he has learned to live with his favorite; John Lewis CCIE #2177 a good friend of mine shared his 2008 battle with Cancer in an interview I had with him; Oleg Berzin 3X CCIE #3955 also interviewed by me talks about his experience (I have also rerun his TelePresence article since it was so popular); brand spanking new CCIE #23061 Syed Ahsan Mohiuddin’s interview is good reading as well; Darby Weaver prolific blogger and huge fan of knowledge sharing and mentoring is working hard, so hard in fact he is sharing his current challenge on issues with the UC environment he is perfecting for his company in this two part series starting this month; Jerry Manis a friend and PMP/PMI guy author of Managing the Grey Areas and Napoleon on Project Management, has an online Virtual Team tool he is looking for feedback on go check it out; Caue Wailemann has emerged from the jungle again, I thought about starting a special section called “Where in the World is Caue” since he has been so hard to find; Nickelby Thane continues to be a regular contributor as he brings his own style of knowledge sharing wit to the table; I ask Scott Morris some personal questions about his many certifications and what the heck is up with that; Todd Lammle has joined us this month adding yet another training perspective for our readers; and Narbik gave me an interview before he got lost in the madness near DC where he is holding his latest CCIE class. There is more in the CCIE Flyer for February and as always my Career Diva Eve Tahmincioglu (I can hardly spell much less pronounce her last name) has shared her thoughts on anger this month.
All in all the February CCIE Flyer is bigger and better than the January issue even if you did miss me and Bouncy in swim suits. Heck I am so hairy I look like a trained monkey next to her anyway! (She says Hi by the way)
Enjoy!
Now get back to work damn it!
