An Interesting Conversation with Narbik
The times are a changing and with the change come many more challenges for the average IT professional. Old farts like Narbik and I have seen the changes and challenges before, yet this time old wisdom and new conditions collide. Where traditionally safe havens kept network engineers safe we have seen wholesale slaughter of staff that have hurt network engineers. Financial institutions, healthcare, pharmaceuticals, insurance companies, manufacturing, automotive and yes, VARs. Smart or lucky I am still not sure which has kept some of us afloat during this storm. I was on the phone today with Narbik a person I am happy to call my friend. We are planning training venues around the world spreading his budget friendly high quality effective training in new venues. Narbik has been very busy writing new training materials for his SP, Security and the new Routing and Switching books. Soon his offerings will challenge the big boys in the CCIE training industry and I wanted to ask a few questions of him that you might have had on your minds as well. Take me to this article...
Cisco Unveils 360 Voice
I was recently on the phone with Rick Smith who is with Learning at Cisco and asked him about the 360 program and why it did not have a voice offering yet. He then informed me that it had been launched nearly a week before. So I did some snooping and here?s what I found. Take me to this article...

The 30-Day CCIE Lab Program
Even as I start to write this little article, I do so with a great sense of remorse and sadness. You see I actually like certifications, studying for the exams, reading countless books, doing endless research just for one more question that motivates me to take the next step in my career, practicing test question banks until perfection is achieved, scheduling the exam... and taking it... Pass or Fail... To be even more truthful, I live for it. I do. I'm a certification junkie. Take me to this article...
