(With a Little Help)

Oh shut up if you were saving the world you would want to tell everybody to. I have had the chance once again in 2009 to pull on the old leotards, cape and mask for a good cause. The world is where I make a living so it stands to reason that saving it from ignorance, evil or bad stuff is a good idea. Imagine if you will, that I did not tell the world about the squirrels last winter and voting like I did which resulted in the planet being around one more year. Where would you be? Heck I did not see many of you moving to another planet. Please what’s Mars got that the good old Earth doesn’t? CCIEs that’s what! Plus maybe oxygen and water and stuff, but that’s not my point. I saved the world again in 2009 damn it. You ask how? By helping CCIEs to keep the data flowing and information flying with responsible positions keeping them engaged in what they do best. Geek stuff. Yup, geek stuff has helped the world realize through the spread of information, the sharing of cultural, political and social data effecting the decisions and thinking of two whole generations of people. Really, think about it if the geeks had not made the internet into a real information highway with no regard for borders, race, religion or social status then we would all still be depending upon the media for social change. How do people find geeks to keep on keeping the world on the right track? Hello! They call me. Yup your friendly neighborhood CCIE Agent cleverly disguised as just your average John Doe. Well maybe not Doe possibly something more ethnic like John Tejano.

Super Heroes

So here’s my plan for how you can return the favor. Really, you do all owe me one, after all. Just take out your checkbook and write me a check for $2,000,000.00 and mail it to me or use my PayPal account, the one all you folks who signed up for training specials were using. Use whatever means you need to employ but send the cash pronto. I get tired of invoicing folks so just do it and I won’t have to embarrass you by telling everyone you forgot or something.

In 2009 the internet flowed with more data and information than at any time in our history. Social networks allowed folks to share themselves, professional networks allowed some folks to change jobs and the CCIE Flyer has had a ringside seat now for over two years. Really we have been reporting, commenting or ignoring geek stuff for a long time now. In fact our readership has climbed to over six people. With Dan, me, mom and my in-laws included. Why last February alone we had 40,000 unique sessions when we were Slash Dotted. Ouch that hurt. But we leveled off after Keith Tokash (CCIE and interplanetary geek guru) Slash Dotted us, to about 20,000 unique sessions each month. Subscribers are at 15,000 mostly CCIEs but there are a few others in there who asked to be on the distribution. Oh that reminds me if you want in on the monthly email announcement send me an email request to be added in the list. I hate asking for money, so don’t send any for that just remember to pay up for me saving the world again in 2009.

The best way to describe how my network of CCIEs has helped create social change and enlighten the world is by looking at current events. In Iran when there are protests and uprisings the first thing the regime does is shut down the internet. Why? To stop the flow of information about what is going on. Yup I saved the world by making my network of CCIEs available to those companies that help move information around the world.

Seriously though, thanks for the chance to have an impact, to make a difference, to save the world for our children yet again this year. It really does take a lot of effort to keep the world safe. So remember the $2,000,000.00 you owe me and have a great Day of Reconciliation South Africa, Happy Hanukkah around the world, Happy Independence Day Kazakhstan, Happy Hijri Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia, Egypt, Islam, Lebanon, Bahrain, UAE, Kuwait, and Jordan, Happy Emperor’s Birthday Japan, Victory Day Egypt, Independence Day Libya, Boxing Day, Rizal Day Philippines, Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to the rest of you!

Peace

Spread Peace in 2010. So many need it and so many children’s lives depend on us to teach the world, as Network professionals how our community, our network exists in a spirit of sharing knowledge and skills. Take the next step be a mentor and be a voice for change!

There are no borders; the internet has made that clear.
